Special Project Class for August

This is my Special Project Class for August.  We will be making 6 cards with envelopes, the box to hold all of them and a collar to decorate a beverage bottle.  Price is $20 and the dates are August 29th and 30th at 1 pm.  Reservations are required by August 17th.  Contact me at gablask@aol.com to make your reservation or for more information.

April's 4 Card Class

It's all about the "guys" in our lives this month. 3 cards and a "take out" box perfect for a gift card, a party favor or a small gift. We are using the colors and papers from the wonderful "Victory" MyReflections paper packet and the April Stamp of the Month "You are....". Class dates are April 25, 26 and 27 with room for 8 ladies in each session. Registration fee is $7.50. Reservations required by April 15th.

April's Kit of the Month

We are making "guy cards" in April using the wonderful "Victory" MyReflections Level 2 paper packet and coordinating embellishments. We are also using the April Stamp of the Month "You are.....", which is a perfect complement to Victory. Class dates are April 11th (special date) for the "Second Monday Group" and April 21st for the "Out of Towners".

April's Special Project Class

Spring is here so I thought we'd celebrate by creating this adorable little basket full of Daisies. A special thanks to Christine Adams and Sharon Tracey for the inspiration.

Class is scheduled for April 30th from 11am until you're finished, or 4pm, whichever comes first. I have room for 12 ladies and registration fee is $7.50. Reservations are required by April 15th.

Stamp Camp 2012

Shelly, Mandee, Kristi, Heather G, and Heather S and I want to welcome you to Stamp Camp 2012 held at Koinonea Conference Grounds in the Santa Cruz mountains above Watsonville. The dates are April 13-15 and the registration fee is $150. Registration fee includes your lodging for two nights, 5 full meals, 2 snacks and the use of the facility. Registration deadline is April 1 and full payment will be due at that time. A $25 deposit now will hold your spot.

Arrival time on Friday is 5 pm, departure time on Sunday is 2 pm. Friday night and Sunday are FREE time for you to do whatever you want....scrapbook, make cards, sit in the sun, read a book.....whatever. 3 formal classes will be presented on Saturday. Gail Blask's Stamp Camp Projects

A teabag dispenser, a Kleenex box cover and a gift card holder with card are my projects for Stamp Camp 2012. Heather Gerard's Stamp Camp Class

Stamp Camp T-Shirt and Hat

Here is our T-shirt for Stamp Camp 2012. It's grey with purple graphic and comes in sizes S-M-LG-XL and 2X. It is $20 and you must contact Kristi Stanfield to put in your order. 4 Card class for February 2012

Here are the 4 cards we will be creating at my 4 Card classes in February. Cost of class is $7.50 and the dates are February 22, 24 and 27. All classes are at 1 pm.

We are using "Stella" in February with the Stamp of the Month for February called Thoughtful Tidings. We are also using "Fashionista" and one of the new quick card stamp sets called "Shell". The colors of Stella are bright and uplifting and have been fun to work with.

Classes are filling up quickly. Deadline to register is February 13th.

Special Project for February

Gina K on Stamp TV showed how to turn an acrylic photo frame into a dry erase board. I just couldn't resist......so, here is my version. It is a 5"x7" acrylic frame that we will dress up to use as either a photo frame, a dry erase board, or both. The red one is using paper from the Roxie paper pkt. and the blue one is using some of the beautiful Dreamin paper pkt. that was just retired. I had some in my stash and thought I'd share it with you.

Class is scheduled for February 29th at 11 am. We should be finished by 1 so we won't take a lunch break. Cost of the class is $5. There are only 2 spaces left in the 11 am class. However, if I get enough interest, I will offer it a second time on the 29th at 2pm. That class should be completed by 4 pm. There will be 10 spaces available.

Registration deadline is February 18th.

January's Scrapbooking Class

January's Scrapbooking class will be creating three 2 page layouts using the beautiful Wonderland Level 2 paper packets and the Workshop on the Go. These photos are of pages 5 and 6 that I created using the Wonderland MyStickease packet. Took some artistic license and made them my own. Look forward to seeing what you do with yours on the 16th at 1 pm.

New Special Project Class

I have decided to offer a Special Project class each month beginning in January. This class will take the place of my Play Day with Pizza and a Project. Class will run from 11 am until we're finished - usually before 3 pm. Bring your lunch and we'll take a 1/2 hour break at 12:30, then finish up. Since this is new, I might adjust the time frame.


On January 31st at 11 am, I will be offering a "Trinket Box" class. We will be taking the Card Box shown on page 131 of the Autumn/Winter Idea Book and some of the paper from the Typeset Level 2 paper packet and transform them into a trinket box that looks like a book. I was inspired to present this class by one of my favorite sister consultants, Vicky Wizniuk from British Columbia, Canada. She has such fun ideas that she willingly shares with the rest of us.

Kit for the class will be $10 and I will need your reservation with pre-payment by January 15th. Class size is limited to 12 ladies.

Stamp-A-Lot

My Stamp Pad is open 2 days per month to provide you with a place to work on your own projects away from the hustle and bustle of your busy life. I am available to answer questions and offer suggestions, however, I may be working on something of my own as well.

January's Stamp-A-Lot schedule is Friday the 6th and Wednesday the 18th from 10 am - 3 pm. Space is available for up to 12 ladies on a first come basis; reservation is preferred a few days in advance.

You're welcome to use my stamp sets and ink pads, paper is available for sale; otherwise whatever you need for your project, you bring it, including your tool kit. We all do our own clean up.

Kit of the Month class schedule and photos

Kit of the Month classes will meet on the following dates at 1 pm and will run until 4 pm. We are using the beautiful Wonderland Level 2 paper packet and I'm sure you're going to love it. Did you notice we're making an Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge project? This way, even if you don't own a Cricut yet, you can still create some of the awesome projects offered on Close to My Heart's exclusive cartridge.

November 4 Card Class

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. With that in mind, and knowing that so many of us travel over that weekend, I have moved my 4 Card classes to the front of November. Reservations are required now so get in touch with me ASAP.

We're working with "Mischief" this month. It's a paper packet designed for Halloween and I have turned it into projects that are non-Halloween, to show the versatility of the paper. The first session is scheduled for Wednesday, November 9th at 1:00 pm, the second session is set for Tuesday, November 15th at 1:00 pm, and the third session is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22nd at 1:00 pm. Class fee is $7.50.

November Kit of the Month Class projects

November's Kit of the Month class features the gorgeous papers of "Sonoma". From very girly to masculine with bling, embossing, pewter accents, ribbon and Heirloom accents. Throw in a few Cricut Art Philosophy images and you're all set. I just know you're going to enjoy all the projects we're making in November.

Art Philosophy Pumpkin Decoration Class

Hi there. I'm offering this adorable Cricut/Art Philosophy pumpkin class that was created by a sister consultant Andrea Sherman. Class date is November 8th and I'm offering it 2 times that day: once at 10:00 am and once at 2:00 pm. Class size is limited to 8 ladies each session. Cost for this project, which includes an LED tea light with extra battery, is $3.00. Sign ups are required by November 1st so let me know ASAP!!!
